Scarf Love - McQueen Baby!

Yes!! After years of lusting over Alexander McQueen skull scarves I finally got my hands on my very own baby! I picked this little piece of gorgeous-ness up as a new job treat to myself :) and I am even more in love than I thought I would be, I find myself wanting to add it to every outfit I put on! While the skull trend has been and gone numerous times, these scarves (i think) will always be in style as a timeless piece and just give any outfit that extra pizzaz. My scarf is two tone and fades from a hot fuchsia pink on one end to a deep grey on the other, with the skulls in the contrasting colours, and is made from chiffon which gives it a lovely silky feel when draped around your neck. It was actually my boyfriend who found this design for me which I hadn't really noticed before, but after looking at it a few times I fell in love and I decided come pay day it was definatley going to be coming home with me! When I go out in this I just feel special and I'm so glad I treated myself, I think everyone should have a little piece of McQueen in their lives!!

Until next time

Origins GinZing Eye Cream

Hi there gorgeous, so today's post is all about my love for the Origins GinZing Eye Cream.

Firstly, lets start with its claims to 'brighten and depuff' I'd definitely say this is correct for the brightening action. The cream itself is a pinky colour with an iridescence running through it, which when applied to the under eye area instantly makes this area appear brighter and has a lovely glisten when it catches in the light, this by no means means that it is glittery though, just a nice subtle sheen. As for the depuff-ing action I cannot really comment on that as I don't seem to suffer from bags or puffiness (hurah!!) just the dark circles (boo!!). The main reason why I love this product so much though is how it looks under your makeup. I use Mac Pro Longwear concealer over this to hide my dark circles, and the effect you get is stunning, I don't know how it does it but it makes your under eye and cheekbone area look dewy and healthy, without it looking greasy, and still staying put all day long!!

I don't think I have much else to say about this product really, I just wanted to share this with you as I am totally IN LOVE!

Have you ever tried any Origins products?
Until next time

FOTD Face of the day

Well hello there again! Today I thought I'd bring to you a FOTD for while I'm pottering around the house and visiting a client later on.
Here's what I've used

Products L-R
Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Shade 2
Mac Pro longwear concealer in NW15
Maybelline Baby lips in Pink Punch
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting touch primer
New CID i-flick liquid eyeliner in Black
YBF Transforming Eyebrow pencil in Universal Brown
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in 2N1 Desert Beige
Clarins Mono Couleur eyeshadow in Mocha Mousse
MUA eyeshadow in 1-Pearl
Mac blusher in Dollymix
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium plus
Bourjois Full Volume Mascara in 01 Beauty Full Black
Nars bronzer in Laguna
Mac Pro longwear Paint pot in Vintage Selection

I know to some of you this may seem like an excessive amount of products for an everyday look, but these are the combinations I have found to be the most successful in achieving the look that I want. Firstly I start by applying primer to my t-zone with my fingers, then apply my foundation all over with my beauty blender. I take my Pro longwear concealer and Collection concealer and mix them together on my beauty blender and apply in a triangle under the eye. The next step is to apply the paint pot over my eye lid, put the MUA shade in my inner corner and blend my Clarins eyeshadow through the crease. I line the top of my eyelid with New CID liquid eyeliner and apply 2 coats of mascara. Dusting my t-zone with my powder, I then contour underneath my cheekbones and around my temples with my beloved Nars Laguna before sweeping Dollymix on the apples of my cheeks and outwards. By this point my brows are always all over the place so I brush them into shape and fill in where necessary. The last step is a quick slick of Baby lips to give me a subtle pink sheen, and that's all there is too it!!!

I love this makeup look and I find myself always going to it when I'm not too sure what to do or don't have too much time :)

What makeup products have you used today?

Until next time

The Perfect Winter Tan!

Afternoon all! So for my first real blog post I wanted to share with you my holy grail product for that perfect winter tan :) Since September hit it feels as if it has instantly turned to winter, let alone autumn, so I felt as if my tanning routine needed a bit of an overhaul. Rather than having that 'just been away for 2 weeks' look I felt as if I just wanted a more natural glow, step in Vita Liberata Rich Silken Chocolate Tinted Self Tan Gel Medium' (what a mouthful!)

I first came across this tan when I attended the Professional Beauty show last October in Manchester, where the lovely sales lady offered to apply some to my arms so I could test it out, I fell in love straight away and immediately bought two! Then when I got it home i tried it out one evening and was impressed with the application- its tinted so you can see exactly where you are applying it, it goes on a lovely smooth consistency and has a faint smell of chocolate mmm! When I woke up the next morning I wasn't the most impressed, it just didnt seem to live up to my favourite Fake Bake original, so to the back of my drawer it went. However, as its not the cheapest of tans(£22.50 I believe) I decided to give it another go a couple of months back. This time I was extremly pleased with the results I had acheived- a deeper glow than you would receieve with a gradual tanner, but so natural looking, and best of all NO BISCUIT SMELL!!

This is how my tan came out this morning

I  have now fallen deeply in love with this tan as my perfect winter tan as I look glowing without looking like an oompa lumpa! I'd reccommend anyone who is into tanning to give this product a try. They also have a whole range of different products to suit every skin type/tone, have deeper tans and even a tanner that last 3 weeks! You can find it online on the usual beauty sites and now also in Boots stores!

Let me know if you try it out!
Whats your holy grail tanner?
